Kyle J. Atkinson Funeral Director / Owner
Kyle is a native of Sheffield, Iowa where he graduated with the Class of 2000 from SCMT High School. He attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and was a member of the Mens Golf Team. He received a Bachelors Degree in Mortuary Science from The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating with honors and received the James Lyerly Business Management Award. Kyle served his internship with Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapels in Mason City, Iowa and was licensed in January 2008. Kyle is a member of the Carroll Rotary Club, Carroll Young Professionals, and has served on the St. Anthony Golf Classic Committee, serving as a co-chair in 2013. Kyle lives in Carroll and has two daughters, Lakelyn and Lennon.

Sheppard Smith Funeral Director / Owner
Kyle Sheppard Smith is a native of Algona. He graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School in 2009. He earned an Associates of Science Degree from Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, in 2011. While at Iowa Lakes, Sheppard was a member of the Men’s Baseball team earning NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American Honors. Sheppard continued his education at Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois, graduating with honors, in September, 2012. While at Worsham, he was the recipient of the Funeral Director Services Association Award for achieving the highest average in Funeral Directing and Business Law. Sheppard was also featured in the September 2012 issue of American Funeral Director magazine’s “One’s to Watch,” an article featuring five of the top mortuary science students in the country. He received his funeral directors license in September of 2013. Sheppard is a member of St. Bernard Parish in Breda, and the Knights of Columbus. Sheppard is married to Katie (Schelle) Smith, and they currently reside in Breda with their senior rescue beagle, Lilly.

Donald F. Masching Funeral Assistant
Donald Masching attended the University of Minnesota and Graduated in 1967 with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. Don served his internship with Sharp Funeral Home, receiving his Funeral Director license in 1968. Don was married to Barbara Sharp who passed away in November of 2018.
