Tyler Riesberg, 27 of Omaha, Nebraska and formerly of Roselle, died Friday morning at his residence in Omaha surrounded by his family.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2013 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle. The Celebrant will be Fr. Steven Brodersen. Mass Servers will be Rachel and Nathan Sporrer. Music will be by Sue Feilmeier and the Holy Angels Choir. Lector for the funeral mass will be Kenny Snyder. Gift Bearers will be Gina Sundermann and Kyle Riesberg. Eucharistic Ministers will be Makayla Riesberg, Mary Ann Sibenaller, Tom Simons and Wayne Riesberg. Honorary Casket Bearers will be: Ross Rupiper, Cory Weitl, Aaron Kautzky, and Tyler’s friend who has gone before him, Johnny Behrens. Casket Bearers will be: Jeremy Wittrock, Kurt Rohrbeck, Jake Behrens, Cory Drees, Cole Kerkhoff, and Craig Riesberg. Burial will be at Holy Angels Cemetery in Roselle.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4 p.m. on Tuesday where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church for the Shoot for a Cure Fundraiser, benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Born in Carroll, Iowa on April 16, 1987, Tyler James Riesberg was the son of Jim and Donna (Hoffman) Riesberg. Tyler grew up on his family’s farm north of Roselle and attended Carroll Community Schools, graduating in 2006 from Carroll High School. He attended DMACC in Boone where he received a degree as a Civil Engineer Tech. While in school at Boone, Tyler met Sam Pingel and on September 4, 2010 they were married at the farm in Roselle.
Tyler loved the farm, Case IH farm equipment, four wheeling, farm toys, and was an avid gun collector. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife Sam, his family and his many friends. Tyler will be forever remembered for his positive attitude in life, his care and concern for others, and his smile.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sam Riesberg of Omaha; his parents, Jim and Donna Riesberg of Roselle; his sister, Gina Sundermann and husband Carl and their children, Ben and Cole of West Des Moines; his brother, Kyle Riesberg and special friend, Amanda Diercks of Willmar, MN; his mother-in-law, Linda Pingel of Ft. Dodge; his sisters-in-law: Jaci (Scott) Anderson and son Barrett of Gurnee, IL, Jolene (Josh) Hays and their children Alex and Peyton of Ft. Dodge, and brother-in-law Ben (Amy) Pingel and their sons Brek and Jake of Ft. Dodge; as well and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended relatives and many friends.
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents: Eugene B. and Bernice Hoffman, and Lavern and Stella Riesberg; his father-in-law, Paul Pingel; and his friend, Johnny Behrens.
