Silas Loew, infant son of Hollie Loew of Carroll, died Friday, December 20, 2019 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish – St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Kevin Richter. Music will be by Jane Heithoff, Kathleen Macke, and the St. Lawrence Choir. Lector for the funeral mass will be Courtney Loew. Gift Bearers will be Alec Hawkins, Lilly Hawkins, and Piper O’Rourke. Casket Bearers will be Dean Loew and Andrew Peterson. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until time of the funeral mass.
Memorials may be left at the church or Iowa Savings Bank for the Silas Loew Memorial Fund.

Silas Loew was born on August 21, 2019 at Carroll, Iowa the son of Donovan Beyer and Hollie Loew. Silas loved being sung to, talked to, and enjoyed playing with his toys. He had a contagious smile and was always a happy baby.
Silas will be forever remembered by his mother, Hollie Loew of Carroll; his father, Donovan Beyer of Mankato; his sister, Jersey Peterson at home; his grandparents: Deb Loew of Carroll, Dean Loew of Carroll, Amberley Peterson and Jeff “Papa” Hawkins of Carroll and Josh (Tiffany Hewitt) Beyer of Mankato; his great-grandmothers: Diane Brincks of Carroll, Marie Loew of Maple River ; his aunts and uncles: Courtney Loew and friend Levi Blum of Dunlap, Jordon Loew and friend Brenda Gimbel of Rockwell City, Taylor Loew of Carroll, Alex Hawkins of Carroll, Lilly Hawkins of Carroll, Alexis Beyer of Mankato, Aaron Beyer of Mankato, Shelby Beyer of Mankato, and Portia Beyer of Mankato.
Silas was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Merlie Loew and Donald Brincks; and a great-uncle, Danny Brincks.
