Sandra R. Kanne, age 77 of Carroll, died peacefully Sunday, April 3, 2016 surrounded by her family at the Hawkeye Care Center in Carroll, Iowa.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am Friday, April 8, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Lector for the funeral mass will be Andy Keinroth. Gift Bearers will be Sandi’s granddaughters: Bailey Kanne, Elisabeth Ault, and Stephanie Keats. Honorary casket Bearers will be Sandi’s grandsons: Chris Kanne, Bob Kanne, Adam Kanne and Andy Keinroth.
Visitation will be at Holy Spirit on Friday at 9 a.m. and continue until time of the funeral mass.

Born on November 16, 1938 at Carroll, Iowa, Sandi was the daughter of John and Mary (Bald) Klocke. She grew up in the Carroll area and attended St Lawrence grade school and graduated from St Angela’s Academy in 1957.
Sandi enjoyed spending time with her family. She invested the majority of her time and effort raising her five children. She possessed a contagious smile and entertaining sense of humor. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter and joking around, will never be forgotten. Sandi loved to dance, sing, write, read, pray, play games/cards- especially with her grandkids, and chat with friends and family.
Sandi is survived by her five children: Mark (Ingrid) Kanne of Chandler, AZ, Terry (Dawn) Kanne of Omaha, NE, Renee Keinroth of Independence, IA, Wally Kanne of Omaha, NE, and Dana Kanne (Jason) of Carroll; seven grandchildren: Chris Kanne, Elisabeth Ault, Bob Kanne, Adam Kanne, Stephanie Keats, Andy Keinroth and Bailey Kanne; and 6 great grandchildren; as well as many niece, nephews and extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Myron Klocke and Virgil Klocke; her sisters: Mary Lou Sieve and Betty Weitl; son-in-law John Keinroth and her great grandson Chevy Keats.
