Ruth Marie (Stork) Lappe, age 70, of Auburn, passed away peacefully in the early evening of July 31st, 2020 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She was surrounded by her husband, sons, and grandchildren.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Lynn Bruch. Music will be by Jane Heithoff and Duane Handlos. Lector will be Amy Stork. Eucharistic Minister will be Bill Stork. Casket Bearers will be Colby Lappe, Jacob Lappe, Tyler Lappe, Jack Lappe, Curtis Stork, Nick Stork, Justin Stork, and Ryan Stork. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Those in attendance will be required to wear a face covering and abide by Covid-19 Social Distancing Restrictions. There will be no public visitation before the mass on Friday morning.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Those in attendance will be asked to abide by Covid-19 practices, and face coverings are recommended.

She was born May 16, 1950 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital to Mathias and Mary Ann (Grabner) Stork.
Ruth graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School. Ruth Stork was married to Fred L Lappe on January 3, 1970 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. They had four children.
Ruth enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, gardening, and trips to the casino with a very good girlfriend. Above all Ruth enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; Mathias and Mary Ann Stork, her eldest son; Christopher Lee Lappe, her brother Kenneth Stork.
She is survived by her husband Fred of Auburn, 3 sons, Jeff (Tina) Lappe of Milford, Brian Lappe of Coal City, Illinois, and Cory (Mary) Lappe of Lapeer, Michigan. 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her sisters: Phyllis Davis (Larry), twin sister Susan Benedict (Robert), Patricia Stork, Margaret Gross (Patrick), Mary Eickman (Lynn) Michele Stork, Sandra Hackerson (Ron); her brothers: Alan Stork (LuJean), Robert Stork (MaryLou), Donald Stork (Marsha), Thomas Stork (Mary Jean), Bill Stork (Pat), Gordon Stork (Carol), Matt Stork Jr. (Teri), Henry Stork (Amy); sister-in-law: Michelle Stork; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
