Ronald Hauser, 81, of Carroll, died Monday, December 1, 2025, at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, St. John Paul II Parish – St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Schott. Music will be by Kathy Halbur and Aaron Hauser. The Lector is Lucas Hauser. Gift Bearers will be Elizabeth Lucken, Kim Haberl and Nicole Hauser. The Casket Bearers are Tom Hauser, Adam Haberl, Steve Snyder, Robert Snyder, Blake Boell and Aden Boell. Burial will follow in Carroll City Cemetery with military honors provided by the Carroll American Legion.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the church prior to the Mass.

Ronny was born and raised in Carroll and lived there his entire life. He served in the Iowa National Guard during the Vietnam era.
Ronny married Nancy Snyder on September 17, 1966, and they shared a long and devoted life together.
He worked at H&R Cleaners before joining Farmland, where he remained until retirement. Afterward, he worked at New Hope Village and Swan House before retiring permanently. Ronny was a hard-working man who enjoyed his jobs, yard work, gardening, and staying busy.
Ronny was also an avid musician throughout his life. He played with The Fabulous Thunderbolts, who were inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. He performed with Pat’s Variation and later founded and led the band Reflections with his brother Jerry, joined in the early 1990s by his son Chris, Bill Samons, and Dale Wittry. He later re-formed The Fabulous Thunderbolts and toured again under that name, retiring from music in 2016.
Ronny was active in his church, where he sang and served as a reader during Mass.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Nancy Hauser; his children: Chris Hauser, Anthony Hauser and Jameson (Jenny) Hauser; his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Caleb, Lucas (Nicole) and Aaron; his great-granddaughters LeeAnn and Iris; sisters-in-law: Jolene Hauser, Mary Jane (Erwin) Haberl, Linda (Duane) Armstead and Joyce Snyder; and by many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his son Tim; his parents; and all of his siblings; Jim, Jack, Bill, LaRene Harkinrider and Jerry.
