Richard Kuker, 72 of Omaha, Nebraska and formerly of Carroll, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 at his home in Omaha.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Lector for the funeral mass will be Dr. Leon Wernimont. Gift Bearers will be LaVonne Wernimont and Margaret Kuker. Casket Bearers will be: Matt Kuker, Jake Kuker, Kurt Kuker, D.J. Kuker, James Wernimont and Lynn Wernimont. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church and will continue until time of the funeral mass.

Born on November 28, 1943 at Carroll, Iowa, Richard was the son of Mathias and Eleanor (Hoesing) Kuker. He attend Sts. Peter and Paul School and later graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School with the Class of 1961.
Richard farmed in the Carroll area with his family members and later moved to Omaha where he managed a group of parking garages.
He enjoyed traveling to Cabo San Lucas and always enjoyed trips to the casinos with his friends. Richard will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
Richard is survived by his siblings: Lois Graham of Polson, MT, Marvin Kuker of Carroll, Morris Kuker of Auburn, NE, Joleen (Gene) Happe of Burnsville, MN, LaVonne (Dr. Leon) Wernimont of Carroll, Allan (Margaret) Kuker of Denison, Rilla (Lloyd) Soetmelk of Berryville, AK, Robert Kuker of Rimrock, AZ and Jacque Rattenborg of Webster City; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Thomas, Evan, and Ronald Kuker; and his brothers-in-law: Dr. Dwight Graham and Darrell Rattenborg.
