Paula Stork, 95, of Carroll, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Mass servers will be Matt Wessling, and Victoria Bauer. Lector will be Norma Wessling. Gift bearers will be Marsha Stork and LuJean Stork. Eucharistic Minister will be Bill Stork. Honorary Casket bearers will be Paula’s nieces and nephews. Casket bearers will be Tom Stork, Bill Stork, Alan Stork, Gerald Wessling, Tom Wessling, and Jason Hacker. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Breda.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at Holy Spirit Church starting at 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral mass.

Born on January 25, 1919 in Carroll County, Paula was the daughter of Henry and Helen (Julich) Stork. She attended school in Breda and Mt. Carmel, graduating high school in 1937. In 1942 she moved to St. Louis, MO where she worked in a pharmacy. Paula retired in 1984 and then moved back to Carroll. She was a graceful and loving sister, aunt and friend, always being very supportive of everyone. Paula will be remembered for her easy going personality, and being a joy to be around. She enjoyed a long life with many family members and friends. Paula also enjoyed occasional trips to the casino, her Saturday morning coffee group, shopping, flowers, the outdoors, bird watching, and her beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Paula was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll.
Living family members include her sisters: Julie Stork of Breda, Sister Mary Myron “Martina” Stork of Lacrosse, Wis., and Helen Ann Wessling of Breda; a sister-in-law, Ann Stork, of Sacramento, Calif.; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Victor Stork, Mathias Stork, Joseph Stork, John Stork, Richard Stork, Henry “Hank” Stork, and Fred Stork. Her sisters: Josephine “Josie” Reinken, and Margaret “Marge” Ballard. She was also preceded in death by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and other family and friends.
