Oh the memories that I have of Marie, I stood up with your folks when they got married, still have the picture, Your grandma Ruth always called me Lolly, I can hear her yet. I had such a nice phone call from Marie right before Christmas and of course we had to discuss our Viola days, and she had sent such a nice letter along with her Christmas card, was the first one I had gotten and I loved it, two little kids pulling a sled with a dog going along with them and they are going through a covered bridge, lots of sparkling snow, I had kept it out from the rest because it just struck me as being so very pretty. just read her letter also, and she did mention the operetta at Viola , the big tree in the gym, and Santa running along the balcony. That school and community meant so much to both of us and still does. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, was so surprised that she had gotten so ill so fast, did know she was in hospice. Thinking of all of you and your wonderful memories of your sweet mom, loved her smile and dimples and always a handkerchief in her left hand. You had wonderful parents. love to you all, Laurel Beeson Nielsen
