Kaye Riddle, 90, of Carroll, died Friday evening, October 9, 2015 at Hawkeye Care Center in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. The celebrant will be Fr. Craig Collison. Music will be by Kate Cuddy and the St. Lawrence Choir. Lectors will be Amy Riddle, Jane Riddle, Michelle Riddle, and Denise Riddle. Gift Bearers will be Kayd Nissen, Ty Nissen, Averi Burke, and Lincoln Bradley Burke. Eucharistic Minister will be Karen Kloewer. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Eileen Pettitt, Elva Bernholtz, Helene Stanzyk, Marge Reiman, and Doris Wilson. Casket Bearers will be Nora Nissen, Casie Forke-Burke, Jennifer Bolden, Laura Riddle, Jessica Hijaz, Jayme Lostaglia, and Zach Riddle. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 5 p.m. on Tuesday where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 6:30 p.m.
Visitation will resume at St. Lawrence Church after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday and will continue until the time of the funeral mass.

Kathleen (Kaye) Riddle was born December 31, 1924 in Denison, Iowa, the daughter of James and Nora (Fitzpatrick) Keating. One of seven children, Kaye, graduated from Denison High School in 1942.
After high school Kaye worked fulltime and enjoyed going to dances. At one of these dances she met Louis Riddle. They were married in Denison in June of 1948. They started their family in Denison, but moved from Denison to Carroll in 1955. Kaye and Louis were blessed with five children. Kaye had several jobs in Carroll, she was the neighborhood ’Welcome Wagon Lady’, and she had jobs at Wilkie Drug, Moore Brothers, Carroll Bowl and Garden of Gifts.
Kaye was a member of St. Lawrence Parish in Carroll. She was an avid bowler and she loved playing cards with friends and family. Kaye also enjoyed crocheting and going to the casino.
Kaye moved from her home in Carroll to the Swan Place in October of 2014. She moved to the Hawkeye Care Center in February of 2015.
Survivors include four sons and one daughter: Mike Riddle and his wife Denise of Carroll, Pat Riddle and his wife Michelle of Naperville, IL, Peg Forke and her husband Dale of Carroll, Dan Riddle and his wife Jane of Midlothian, VA, and Tom Riddle and his wife Amy of Carroll; her seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marie Evers of Soldier, Rita Huebner of Omaha, NE, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Kaye is preceded in death by her husband Louis, parents, her brother James and his wife, Marie; three sisters: Marg Beerman, Irene Christensen and her husband Oscar, Lucille Gallagher and her husband Arnie; her brothers-in-law: Louie Evers, and Mark Huebner; and her husband’s siblings: Wayne, Maureen, and Betty.
