Joseph Lampe, 44 of Carroll, died early Friday morning, July 22, 2016, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Con-Celebrant and homilist will be Fr. Brian Feller. Music will be by: Jake Gute, Melissa Nystrom and Beckie Roberts. Mass servers will be: Grant Macke, Nate Overmohle and Nolan Overmohle. Lectors for the funeral mass will be: Rachel Eischeid and Eric Lampe. Gift Bearers will be Joe’s nieces: Samantha Bowman, Ashley Beckham, Danielle Lowry, and Andrea Lampe. Eucharistic Ministers will be: Rachel Eischeid and Aaron Nepper. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Joe’s brothers: Rick, Jim, John, Mark, Tom, and Bill Lampe. Casket Bearers will be: Thaine Eischeid, Aaron Nepper, Tanner Lampe, Curt Snyder, Gerry Majerus, and Devon Majerus. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll after 2 p.m. on Sunday where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 5 p.m. Memorials may be left at the church for Kuemper Catholic Schools Foundation.
Visitation will resume at noon on Monday at Holy Spirit Church and continue until time of the funeral mass.

Born on December 4, 1971, at Carroll, Iowa, Joseph was the son of Marvin “Barney” and Jeanette (Willenborg) Lampe. Joe attended Kuemper Grade School and later graduated from Carroll High School in 1991. After high school, he attended Iowa Lakes Community College for one year. At the age of 19, Joe, along with his brother John and Karla Lampe, purchased and operated the A&W in Jefferson, Iowa, for 7 years. Then he joined John and Karla, who were the owners of Carroll Refuse Service, to become a co-owner of the business. On August 17, 2002, Joe was united in marriage to Lisa Klocke at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Breda. In 2004 Joe and Lisa become sole owners and operators of Carroll Refuse Service. Together, Joe and Lisa had 5 children, Lucas, Max, Ben, Emily, and Ryan.
Joe’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved watching his children in all of their activities. He enjoyed racing with his brothers and go-karting with his children. Poker was one of Joe’s favorite pastimes and he took great joy in traveling to Vegas with his wife. Joe will be most remembered for his kindness, willingness to help anyone, strong work ethic, and love for life.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Lisa Lampe of Carroll, and their children: Lucas, Max, Ben, Emily and Ryan Lampe; his father, Marvin “Barney” Lampe of Carroll; his siblings: Rick (Mary) Lampe of Springfield, MO, JoAnn (Mark) Patzner of Carroll, Marilyn Dickson of Carroll, Barb Lampe of Carroll, Jim (Marvel) Lampe of Sevierville, TN, John Lampe of Fair Grove, MO, Sue (Mark) Nickum of Milo, Mark (Abby) Lampe of West Des Moines, Tom Lampe of Carroll, and Bill Lampe of Carroll; his father-in-law, Duane Klocke of Coon Rapids; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Rachel (Thaine) Eischeid of Grimes, Laura (Tim Albrecht) Klocke of Madison, and Philip Klocke of Carroll; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Lampe and his mother-in-law, Diane Klocke.
