Joleen Brincks, age 56, of Carroll, died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, surrounded by her loving family.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Lectors will be Amy Bacon, and Lisa Daniel-Way. Gift Bearers will be Stephanie, Amanda, and Ashley Brincks. Casket Bearers will be Jeff Daniel, David Bacon, Jason Irlmeier, Allen Irlmeier, Kenneth Irlmeier, and Jerry Brincks. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call after 3p.m. on Sunday at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll where there will be a Rosary prayed at 4 p.m., and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6 p.m.
Visitation will resume at Holy Spirit Church at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, and continue until the time of the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family to be used for a later memorial designation.

Born on January 15, 1960 at Carroll, Iowa, Joleen was the daughter of Albert and Catherine (Williams) Irlmeier. She grew up near Manning, and graduated from Manning High School in 1979. Joleen later graduated from Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge.
On July 9, 1988, Joleen was united in marriage to Darrell Brincks at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manning, Iowa. The couple made their home south of Carroll. Joleen was employed at Kmart in Carroll for 20 years, and was also employed at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll.
Joleen enjoyed baking, playing cards especially Euchre, fishing, going to the movies, and solving word scrambles. Most of all Joleen enjoyed the time she spent with her husband Darrell, and their three daughters. Joleen will be remembered for her deep devotion to her faith, and her fun-loving spirit. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Carroll.
Left to cherish Joleen’s life are her husband Darrell Brincks of Carroll, their daughters: Stephanie Brincks of Carroll, Amanda Brincks of Des Moines, and Ashley Brincks of Carroll; her siblings: Sharon (James) Daniel of Carroll, Vernon (Carol) Irlmeier of Manning, Shirley Heithoff of Carroll, Marlene Irlmeier of Manning, and Ronald (Donna) Irlmeier of Manning, her mother-in-law: Arlene Brincks of Carroll, her sister-in-law, Linda (Bill) Dutton of East Peru, Iowa, and her brother-in-law: Duane Brincks of Omaha, NE, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Joleen was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Catherine Irlmeier, and her father-in-law: Joe H. Brincks.
