Agatha Reiman, age 97 of Carroll, and formerly of Templeton, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson, assisted by Deacon Patrick Lenz. Music will be by Nancy Davis, Sherry Loughran,and the St. Lawrence Choir. Mass Servers will be Meredith Werden, Madison Werden, and Agatha’s great-granddaughter, McKenna Ludwig. Lectors will be Agatha’s grandchildren: Kevin Reiman, Karla Calder, Anne Robinson, and Lisa Schmitz. Gift Bearers will be Agatha’s grandchildren: Aimee Bokker, Michelle Reiman, Barbara Yearous, Paula Neumann, and Agatha’s Godchild, Denise Glass. Eucharistic Ministers will be Kathy Rupiper and Shirley Moliter. Casket Bearers will be Agatha’s grandsons: Kevin Reiman, Brian Miller, Greg Miller, Timothy Reiman, Patrick Reiman, Dean Reiman, Jason Reiman, and Agatha’s Godson, Doug Rupiper. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. The Templeton Catholic Daughters of America’s and the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary will form an honor guard for the funeral mass.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 p.m., Sunday where there will be a rosary at 4 p.m., by the Templeton Catholic Daughters of Americas. There will be a Christian Wake Service at 6 p.m., by St. Lawrence Parish.

Born on January 17, 1914 in Templeton, Iowa, Agatha was the daughter of William and Mary (Haverman) Rupiper. On January 20, 1936, Agatha was united in marriage to Leonard Reiman. They were blessed with four children: Wayne, Mary Jean, Dale, and Daryl. It was in Templeton where Agatha and Leonard made their home. They farmed for 41 years and then retired in Carroll in 1977.
Agatha’s life was devoted as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was volunteer at New Hope Village, active participant in water aerobics at the Recreation Center, and an avid card player. Agatha was a member of the Templeton Catholic Daughters of Americas, St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary, Our Lady’s Rosary Makers, and St. Lawrence Parish.
Agatha is survived by her children: Wayne Reiman and his wife Mary Lou of Carroll, Mary Jean Miller and her husband Glen of Council Bluffs, Dale Reiman and his wife Sue of Parker, CO, and Daryl Reiman and his wife Joleen of Templeton; 18 grandchildren: Kevin Reiman, Denise Pape, Rhonda DeRocher, K’Lynn Ludwig, Julie Reiman, Barbara Yearous, Lisa Schmitz, Brian Miller, Karla Calder, Greg Miller, Anne Robinson, Timothy Reiman, Patrick Reiman, Dean Reiman, Aimee Bokker, Paula Neumann, Michelle Reiman, and Jason Reiman; 26 great-grandchildren; a sister in-law, Helen Behrens; her good friend, Michelle Haberl; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leonard Reiman; three brothers and their wives: Albert and Hildegard Rupiper, Leonard and Florentine Rupiper and Victor and Helen Rupiper; and a great-grandson in infancy, Patrick.
