Vera was beautiful, inside and out. Devoted to her family, she instilled in them the virtues of kindness, thoughtfulness and graciousness. I think gracious is the best word to describe Vera Siemann. Always welcoming, sweet and encouraging, I always felt better about myself after having spent time with her. I once saw her just prior to a job interview and she reminded me to breathe, saying “you can’t breathe and be nervous at the same time!” So true! On more than one occasion, when Diane and I were heading out of town, and would be gone on Diane’s birthday, she would surreptitiously slip me $10 to assure that Diane would have cake and ice cream on June 15th! <3. Writing these words causes me to realize how I have benefited from knowing her, and how missed she surely will be by me and by so very many in this world. May God Bless her soul as she enters her eternal reward, and may God comfort her family and all who mourn her loss.
