Neil and Paul Collison hired me as News Director in the late 1980s and with their help and guidance I went on to win numerous journalism awards and lead news departments at several top-rated news stations in three different states. Neil, indeed, loved Carroll and its residents and that remained his focus during his long career.

JoAnn and family, you have my deepest sympathy. The joys of knowing and working with Neil, a fellow South Dakotan, for the past 20 years will always be cherished by me. Even though at times during the building process there where challenges, he remained optimistic and his steadfast dedication to Carroll Broadcasting and his adopted community of Carroll did not waver. I will greatly miss Neil, but will not forget the many memories. Darrell Solberg Sioux Falls, SD
