On September 11, 1961, Tim was born to the late Jerry Dean Palmer and the late Sandra Ann (Foster) Palmer.
Tim was married to Linda Henry on October 18, 1997 in Guthrie Center and they made their home in Bayard. Linda and Tim met at a community dance and became close very quickly. Their marriage was cut short by Linda’s passing as she lost her battle with cancer on January 12, 2005.
Tim was an active member at Central Church in Carroll where Tim was a greeter and participant in the men’s Bible study group. Tim’s faith and the members of his church were extremely important to him. Tim was also a member of the Lions Club of Bayard and Carroll.
Tim graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1979 and completed a Power Line Installer Diploma from Northwest Iowa Technical College in 1981. He lived in California in his early 20’s before moving back to Iowa a few years later. Tim worked primarily as a welder over his career and worked for Parker Manufacturing, New Way Trucks and John Deere.
His memory will be cherished by all who shared a meal with him, went to a Christian concert, or athletic event. Tim was a very sociable person, and he was at his happiest when he was around his family, loved ones and friends.
Tim’s memory will be cherished by his siblings Mark and his wife Deb Palmer of Webster City, Susan Palmer and Walt Thorngren of St. Louis, and Sharon Palmer of St. Louis.
