Sarah Tan Creti, 41 of Carroll, died early Wednesday morning, February 17, 2016 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Craig Collison. Prelude music will be by Elizabeth Elcomb. Music for the funeral mass will be by Marcy Anderson, Sherry Loughran and the St. Lawrence Choir. Mass servers will be Daisy Haukap, Isiah Badding, Rebecca Maynes. Lectors for the funeral mass will be Josh Tan Creti, Stacey Peter, and Jane Burns. Gift Bearers will be Sarah’s aunts. Eucharistic Ministers will be Joan Kerwood, Lou Pottebaum and Bev Tierney. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Sarah’s family will greet friends beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left at the church for the family of Sarah Tan Creti.

Born on September 29, 1974 at Carroll, Iowa, Sarah was the daughter of Martin and Patricia (Bruening) Tan Creti. She attended Carroll Public Schools and later graduated from Carroll High School in 1993.
Sarah furthered her schooling at DMACC in Boone where she received a degree in nursing. Following her schooling she was employed in the Carroll and Omaha areas.
Sarah had a passion for art and also enjoyed traveling with her family. She had great joy spending time with her entire family at their many family gatherings. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter Elena. Sarah will always be remembered for her care and compassion for others.
Left to celebrate her life is her daughter, Christina Tan Creti and her significant other Leonardo Brito of Omaha; her granddaughter, Elena Brito-Tan Creti; her mother, Pat Tan Creti of Carroll; her brother, Josh Tan Creti of Omaha; her grandmother, Dorothy Bruening of Carroll; her aunts and uncles: Mike (Jane) Tan Creti of Omaha, Dr. Marc (Dr. Rosemary) Tan Creti of Denison, Caroline (Dave) Nissen of Ft. Collins, CO, Joan (Dave) Kerwood of Boone, Barb (Duane) Thielen of Carroll, Joyce (Marc) Nieland of Carroll, Mark Bruening of Maple River, Angie (Michael) Reuter of Kirkwood, MO, and Jim Clark of Maple River; as well as many cousins, other extended relatives, and many friends.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father, Marty Tan Creti; her grandparents: Anthony “Tony” Bruening, Marcus and Irene Tan Creti; her aunt, Mary Jo Clark; and her uncle Jack Badding.
