Robert “Heinie” Henrich, 86 of Carroll, died Sunday, June 23, 2024, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll surrounded by his family.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Holy Spirit Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Patrick Behm. Music will be by Jane Heithoff and Sherry Loughran. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Roger Lewandowski. Gift Bearers will be Kelly Spielmann, Kasey Halbur, Emily Venteicher, Sawyer Spielmann, and Sadie Spielmann. Eucharistic Minister will be Scott Hucka. Casket Bearers will be Christopher Irlbeck, Mike Spielmann, John Henrich, Cooper Halbur, Nick Venteicher, Creighton Halbur, and Mason Wheeler. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lohrville.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a rosary at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Tuesday at Holy Spirit Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church for a later designation.

Robert William Henrich was born on October 18, 1937, at home in Maple River, the son of Harold and Mary (Schrad) Henrich. He attended Carroll High School, graduating in 1956 where he was a standout football and track athlete. After high school he was invited to attend the Minnesota Vikings Training Camp.
Heinie, as he was known to most, began his career as a machinist welder at Heider Manufacturing where he worked until its closing. He also worked at Scranton Manufacturing and Carroll County Landfill and Recycling Center. Heinie also picked up extra hours as a bouncer and bartending at various establishments in Carroll.
Robert was married to Margaret “Charlotte” Cavanaugh on May 19, 1962, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll by Bishop Greteman. Heinie and Charlotte made their home in Carroll where they raised their five children on Court Street.
Heinie enjoyed going to the Carroll Rec Center twice daily and was a member since its opening. He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing. Heinie also loved bowling, dancing, grocery shopping, going to daily Mass, playing cards, and gambling. He was the luckiest man in town according to his friends.
Heinie is survived by his children: William (Cathy) Henrich of Clive, Susan (Todd) Kanne of Carroll, Joanie (Scott) Hucka of Carroll, Beth Venteicher (Roger Lewandowski) of Omaha, Nebraska, and Amy (D.J.) Halbur of Halbur; eight grandchildren: Christopher Irlbeck (Mandy Thielen), Kelly (Mike) Spielmann, John Henrich, Kasey Halbur (Mason Wheeler), Cooper Halbur, Creighton Halbur, Emily Venteicher, and Nick Venteicher; two great-grandchildren: Sawyer Spielmann and Sadie Spielmann; as well as other extended relatives and many friends.
Heinie was preceded in death by his wife Margaret “Charlotte” Henrich; his parents, Harold and Mary Henrich; his parents-in-law, Mark and Gertrude Cavanaugh; and his brother, Don (Bonnie) Henrich.
