Ralph J. “Whitey” Beyerink, age 78, of Roselle, died Tuesday August 16, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle. The celebrant will be Fr. Steven Brodersen. Music will be by Sue Feilmeier and the Holy Angels Choir. Mass Servers will be Hunter Rolfes, and A.J. Schreck. Lector will be Jeanne Riesberg. Gift Bearers will be Rachal Meiers, Madison Rolfes, and Kendyl Beyerink. Eucharistic Ministers will be Mary Ann Sibenaller, Diane Sturm, and Sharon Kasperbauer. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Ralph’s grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Casket Bearers will be Ethan Beyerink, Cody Rolfes, Michael Christensen, Christopher Beyerink, Lindy Beyerink, Matthew Meiers, and Brittany Behrens. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4 p.m. on Thursday where there will be a Rosary prayed at 5 p.m., and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m.
Additional visitation will be held Friday morning at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. with the family present after 9 a.m.

Born on July 18, 1938 at Old Carrollton, Iowa, Ralph was the son of Albert and Mary Magdalena “Lena” (Broich) Beyerink. He grew up near Coon Rapids, and attended Annunciation Catholic School. After his formal education Ralph helped his father with the family’s farming operation.
On August 29, 1958 Ralph was united in marriage to Lois Bauer at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willey. Their union was blessed with six children. The couple made their home in Coon Rapids for a brief time before moving to Roselle, where they have made their home for over 50 years. Over the years Ralph worked as a tree surgeon for Gute Tree Service, and Snyder Tree Service, and for 29 years he worked at Farmland Foods in Carroll.
Ralph enjoyed cooking for his family, making sure his meals were meticulously prepared for everyone. He also enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. The biggest delight of Ralph’s life was the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ralph will be remembered for a deep devotion to his faith. He was a member of Holy Angels Parish in Roselle.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lois Beyerink of Roselle; his children: Meshelle Jasper and special friend Chris Howerton of Rolla, MO, Thomas (Deb) Beyerink of Fullerton, NE, Scott Beyerink, and special friend Missy Sales of Carroll, Timothy Beyerink and special friend Heather Collins of Rockwell City, Curtis Beyerink of Fullerton, NE, and Janelle (Jason) Rolfes of Carroll; his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Michael (Shanna) Christensen, and their daughter Cadence of Cortez, CO, Emily (Matt) Sheler and their children Faith and Wyatt of Rolla, MO, Rachal Meiers and fiancé Matt Murphy of Rolla, MO, Matthew Meiers of Rolla, MO, Ethan Beyerink of Fullerton, NE, Kendyl Beyerink and special friend Shane Sappingfield of Kearney, NE, Jessi Anderson and her children Alexis, Myra, Megan, and Ian of Fullerton, NE, Lindy Beyerink of Des Moines, Christopher (Jamie) Beyerink, and their daughter Myla of Carroll, Kayla Beyerink and her special friend Jake Sexton, and their children Emma, Jessa, and Autumn of Charter Oak, Kylie McChesney of Lytton, Curtis Beyerink and his son Shaylen of Nebraska, Cody Rolfes, Madison Rolfes, Hunter Rolfes, and Gage Rolfes all of Carroll, and Ralph and Lois’ embraced granddaughter Brittany Behrens of Carroll.
Also surviving are Ralph’s siblings: Darlene Lloyd of Coon Rapids, Ronnie (Dorothy) Beyerink of Coon Rapids, and Paul Beyerink of Coon Rapids; his brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws: Diane (Dan) Seidl of Coon Rapids, Kenny (Diane) Bauer of Arcadia, Duane (Cindy) Bauer of Dedham, and Jim (Judy) Bauer of Lake City, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives, and friends.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Alice (Carl) Lengemann, Louise (Virgil) Behrens, Evelyn (Clarence) Gute, and his brother-in-laws: Dale Lloyd, Marlin Bauer, and Dennis Bauer, as well as two nephews: Neil Gute, and Jeremy Bauer.
