Paul Brincks, 92, of Carroll, died Friday evening, October 9, 2015 at Regency Park Nursing Home in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Mass servers will be Evan Brincks, Alexa Brincks, and Ben Brincks. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir with John Wagner as soloist. Lector will be Jo Ann Brincks. Gift Bearers will be Kari Handley, Brenda Vonnahme, Michelle Forke, Jenny Halbur, Sarah Halbur, and Cade Brincks. Eucharistic Ministers will be Mary Ann Brincks, Jo Ann Brincks, and Tom Brincks. Casket Bearers will be Brad Peterson, Doug Brincks, Jason Brincks, Scott Halbur, Ryan Halbur, and Kevin Halbur. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll after 4:30 p.m., on Tuesday, where there will be a Carroll Knights of Columbus Rosary prayed at 5 p.m., and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m.
Visitation will resume at Holy Spirit Church after 10 a.m. Wednesday, and will continue until the time of the funeral mass.
Memorials may be left at the church to be directed to the Kuemper Catholic Schools Foundation.

Born on July 19, 1923 at the family farm near Willey, Iowa, Paul Bernard was the son of Ben W. and Catherine (Berger) Brincks. He grew up near Willey, and graduated from St. Mary’s School. On June 7, 1948 Paul was united in marriage to Irene Behrens at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll, with Fr. Lambert Schenkelberg officiating. Paul started farming the family farm southeast of Carroll in 1949. Paul and Irene moved to the Carroll community in November of 1994.
Paul enjoyed farming, working on small engines, and woodworking. Most of all Paul enjoyed the time he spent with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Paul was a member of the Carroll Knights of Columbus, Holy Spirit Men’s Club, and Holy Spirit Parish in Carroll.
Left to celebrate Paul’s life is his wife: Irene Brincks of Carroll; his children: Diane (Michael) Peterson of Bennington, NE, Ron (Janet) Brincks of Carroll, Gary (Jean) Brincks of Carroll, Joleen Brincks of Independence, and Brian (Suzanne) Brincks of Carroll; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; also surviving are his brothers and sisters-in-law: Jo Ann Brincks of Carroll, John A. Behrens of Carroll, and Mary Ausman of Carroll; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson: Matthew Brincks; his brothers: Ed, Leo, and Bernard Brincks; his sisters: Marie Brincks, Lucille Vonnahme, Marian Brincks, and Rita Venner; his mother and father-in-law: John and Elizabeth Behrens; brothers and sisters-in-law: Beatrice Behrens, Lawrence and Justine Behrens, Joe and Julitta Behrens, James Ausman, Louise Behrens, and Albin Venner.
