Michael Logan, age 64, of Carroll, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015, at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Pastor Jay Chapman of Faith Baptist Church of Carroll will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted by the Carroll American Legion. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at the Sharp Funeral Home, and will continue until the time of the memorial service.

Michael Logan was born on September 10, 1951 at Riverside, California, the son of Harold and Nellie (Fisher) Elliott. He grew up in the San Gabriel Valley Area, and in 1969 he graduated from Sierra Vista High School in Baldwin Park, California. During high school Michael won many mechanics awards, and he was one of the fastest to tear down, and rebuild a motor.
After graduation Michael enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he earned the National Defense Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. Upon his honorable discharge he became an apprentice plumber, however he enjoyed truck driving more, and began his career as an over the road truck driver. Michael lived in Joplin, Missouri, Vermont, and Maine before moving to Emerson, Iowa. It was here he met the soul of his life, Jeannie Pierson, and the couple later moved to the Carroll community. Michael enjoyed trucking, fishing, history, and researching U.F.O.’s.
Left to celebrate Michael’s life is his significant other, Jeannie Pierson of Carroll. His children: Charles (Crystal) Logan of Dodge City, KS, and Sharon Logan of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are Jeannie’s children: Eric Pierson of Carroll, Jesse (Dawn) McFarland of Hastings, and Lacey McFarland of Omaha, NE; 9 grandchildren, and other extended relatives, and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Sheri Logan.
