Mary Bellinghausen, 92 of Carroll, died Monday, January 26, 2026 at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll.
In accordance with her wishes, her body has been donated to the Deeded Body Program at the University of Iowa.
She was born and raised in Maple River, IA. She was always very devoted to her Catholic faith. She was an excellent teacher, educator, & tutor most of her life. In her free time, she loved playing cards with family & friends and volunteering at various places. Her latest was at New Hope Bargain Shop in Carroll where she enjoyed meeting new people, talking to them and helping them find new treasures. She also took great pride in her flower garden at her home. Always moving them and rearranging them just right so they looked perfect. The most important things in her life were her Catholic faith and her family.
She is survived by her siblings Alvina Beyer, Cindy Irlbeck, Janet Brown, Mary Bolan, Wayne & Sharon Bellinghausen, many nieces & nephews, & many more extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Mary Bellinghausen, her siblings & their spouses Viola, Leonard, Loretta, Hyacinth, Dominic, Delores, Alvin, Marvin, Ronald, Agnes, Marlene, Brothers-In-Law Ray Beyer, Leon Irlbeck, Don Brown, Edwin Nelsen.
