Margaret Heisterkamp, age 91, of Greenville, Mississippi, and formerly of the Yetter and Sac City area, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Regency Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 P.M., Friday, July 23, 2010, at St. Bernard Church in Breda. The Celebrant will be Father Joe Dillinger. Lector will be Kira Heisterkamp. Gift Bearers will be Kira Heisterkamp and Ian and Shara Heisterkamp. Casket Bearers will be Delbert Heisterkamp, Franklin Heisterkamp, Robert Heisterkamp, Ralph Heisterkamp, Monty Damm, Bryan Mourer, and Ian Heisterkamp. Burial will be at St. Bernard Cemetery in Breda. Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M. Friday and last until the time of the funeral mass at the Sharp Funeral Home in Breda.
Margaret was born on December 31, 1918, at Yetter, Iowa, the daughter of Joe and Hazel (Basler) Prickett. On August 28, 1940, she was married to William J. Heisterkamp at St. Mary Church in Sac City. Following their marriage the couple lived at Yetter and in 1963 moved to Sac City. In 1966 the Heisterkamp’s moved to Moline, Illinois, and in 1982 moved to Greenville. Margaret was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Greenville.
Survivors include her son, William D. Heisterkamp and wife JoAnne of Greenville, Mississippi; and two grandchildren, Ian Heisterkamp and wife Shara of San Antonio, Texas, and Kira Heisterkamp of Ridgeland, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Heisterkamp, in 1986; and by her parents.
