Louise Kennebeck, 62 of Carroll, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her residence in Carroll following a brief battle with cancer.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Lectors for the funeral mass will be Bev Hoffman and Clete Windschitl. Gift Bearers will be Makayla and Hailey Potter. Eucharistic Minister will be Larry Hoffman. Casket Bearers will be: Matt Neaderhiser, Andy Potter, Matt Redling, Tony Redling, John Kennebeck, and Joe Kennebeck. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday where there will be a rosary at 5 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 p.m.
The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday where visitation will resume until time of the funeral mass.

Born on January 12, 1953 at Lake City, Iowa, Louise was the daughter of Walter and Clara (Bekehermes) Hoffman. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul School and later graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School in 1971.
Louise was employed as a bookkeeper for Carroll Lumber Company for 44 years, retiring in 2015 due to her health issues.
On August 14, 1999 she married Verlin Kennebeck in Carroll, Iowa. Together the couple thoroughly enjoyed traveling to various locations across the United States.
Louise was an avid doll collector, gifted at cross stitching, and had a love for livestock; always enjoying attending rodeos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her entire family.
Louise was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Carroll.
Left to cherish her life is her husband Verlin Kennebeck of Carroll; Verlin’s children: Randy (Donna) Kennebeck of Des Moines and Roxanne (Kim) Redling of Gilbert; her grandchildren: Matt (Amanda) Redling, Tony (Haley) Redling, Lanette (Juan) Reyes, John Kennebeck and friend Jessica Van Der Linden, and Joe Kennebeck; her great-grandchildren: Adrianna Wallace, Isabel Reyes, and Lexi June Redling; her siblings: Larry (Bev) Hoffman of Springfield, IL, Maxine (Charles) Potter of Omaha, NE, Dale Hoffman of Carroll, and Judy (Alan) Neaderhiser of Omaha, NE; her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Virgil Kennebeck of Carroll, and Dennis (Judy) Kennebeck of Storm Lake; as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Lorraine Kennebeck; and her brother-in-law, Frank Kennebeck.
