Lorraine Klocke, 91, formerly of Dedham, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Journey Senior Services in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dedham. The Celebrant will be Fr. Patrick Behm, with the assistance of Deacon Louis Meiners. Music will be provided by the St. Joseph’s Choir with Cindy Bauer as the accompanist. Lectors will be Jessica Steere, Erica Prest, Stephanie Bunker, and Amanda Tlach. Gift Bearers will be Mike Klocke, Justin Klocke, Dan Schwaller, Christopher Klocke, Mike Schwaller, and Ben Boeckman. Casket Bearers will be Steve Klocke, Jacob Klocke, John Schwaller, Adam Klocke, Aaron Klocke, and Andy Boeckman. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Dedham.
A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll where there will be a Rosary at 5 p.m. led by Deacon Louis Meiners. An additional visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 until 10:10 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine’s honor to the Kuemper Catholic Schools Foundation or directed to the family.

Lorraine was born on March 6, 1930, the daughter of John E. and Theresa (Zitzlsperger) Hoffman. Lorraine grew up northeast of Dedham and attended St. Joseph’s School in Dedham. On October 16, 1951, she married Harry Klocke at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dedham. Lorraine and Harry had six children: Marikay, Mark, Kevin, Ed, Kris, and Jenna, whom they raised on their farm west of Dedham. Lorraine’s life was dedicated to her home, her faith, and her children. She was an active member of the St. Joseph’s Ladies Guild. Lorraine and Harry served on the Kuemper Parents’ Club, and Lorraine loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. In later years, she enjoyed her outings with the Homemaker’s Club and having coffee with friends at the Corner Station.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Marikay (Tom) Schwaller of Omaha, Mark (Nancy) of Audubon, Kevin (Jayne) of Templeton, Ed (Kathy) of Dedham, Kris (Daryl) Boeckman of Carroll, and Jenna (Brian) Lichter of Omaha; brother Eugene (Carol) Hoffman of Carroll, sister-in-law Dorothy Hoffman of Coon Rapids, and sister-in-law Kathleen Irlmeier of Audubon; 28 grandchildren, and 27 great-children with 3 on the way; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband Harry in 2011; great-grand daughter Claire Marie Steere in 2019; her parents; and her brothers Alvin, Alfred, and Louis.
