Lori Eischeid, age 43, of Carroll, Iowa, died Thursday evening, October 30, 2008, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll following a long illness. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:30 P.M., Monday, November 3, 2008, at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. The Celebrant was Father Joe Dillinger. Lectors were Jill Neppel, Lauren Fangman, Nick Schultes, Amanda Pietig, and Paige Gehling. Gift Bearers were her children, Kristin, Tyler, Jason, and Jared Eischeid. Mass Servers were Jon Fangman, Chase Rupiper, and Cameron Hackett. Eucharistic Ministers were Vicki Dean, Marty Danzer, and Arlene Dalhoff. Casket Bearers were Carla Hinners, Sue Kanne, JoAnn Sapp, Becky Lohff, Pam Mohr, Carol Schwabe, Pam Rupiper, Sandy Wittrock, and Amy Grossman. Burial was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Visitation was held Sunday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. A memorial has been established for the Carroll Relay for Life. Lori Eischeid was born on December 10, 1964, at Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of Matthew and Lois (Hamers) Neppel. She spent her lifetime in the Carroll community and attended St. Lawrence School and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1983 and then graduated from DMACC in Ankeny with an Associates Degree. On August 22, 1986, she was married to Tim Eischeid at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. She had been employed at the former Neppel Oil Company and then was a partner with her sister, Lisa Danzer, at the Second Time Around consignment store in Carroll. She was most recently employed part time by Van Meter Industrial in Carroll. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish and Parish Ladies Guild. Survivors include her children, Kristin, Jared, Jason, and Tyler Eischeid of Carroll; her father, Matt Neppel of Carroll; sisters, Vicki Dean and her husband John of Hudson, Wisc., Cathy Neppel of Minneapolis, Minn., Becky Arts and her husband Pat of Omaha, Nebr., and Lisa Danzer and her husband Marty of Carroll; brothers, Craig Neppel and his wife Joanie of Coralville, Ron Neppel and his wife Karen of Olathe, Kansas, and Scott Neppel and his wife Cathy of Omaha, Nebr.; 16 nieces and nephews; one great niece; and one great nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Neppel; and her grandparents, Max and Rose Neppel and Herman and Gertrude Hamers.
