Linda Lou Klocke, age 46, of Templeton, Iowa, died Monday, August 11, 2008, at her residence near Templeton of natural causes. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 15, 2008, at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. The Celebrant will be Father Dale Reiff. Lectors will be Josh Smouse, Haley Wieland, and Ross Klocke. Gift Bearers will be Edna and Orville Ludwig. Violinist will be Katie Klocke. Mass Servers will be Luke Rohe and Matt Meiners. Eucharistic Ministers will be Karen Klocke, Ron Smouse, and Don Masching. Honorary Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews. Casket Bearers will be Steve Klocke, Jake Smouse, Ben Wieland, Ben Klocke, Mitch Hinners, and Paul DiIulio. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 2:30 P.M. Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 3 P.M. Thursday. There will be a Christian wake service at 7 P.M. Thursday by Sacred Heart Parish. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or church for the Kuemper Catholic Schools Foundation or Westwood Knolls Retirement Center. Mrs. Klocke was born on April 11, 1962, at Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Evelyn (Masching) Wieland. She attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1980. Since high school Mrs. Klocke has been employed by the Carroll Health Center Nursing Home and Westwood Knolls Retirement Center and most recently served as Services Coordinator for Westwood Knolls Retirement Center. On November 14, 1981, she was married to Dennis Klocke at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt. Carmel. The couple lived in Templeton until 1991 when they moved to their farm home southeast of Templeton. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and Parish Ladies Guild. She was active in Relay for Life, served as a 4-H Leader, and served on various community committee’s. Mrs. Klocke enjoyed her family, crocheting, feeding birds, and baking monster cookies. Survivors include her husband, Dennis Klocke of Templeton; children, Nathan Klocke and his wife Julie of Ankeny, Ryan Klocke of Templeton, Jason Klocke of Ankeny, and Leah Klocke of Templeton; a grandson, Colin Klocke; parents, Donald and Evelyn Wieland of Carroll; sister, Pam Smouse and her husband Ron of Springfield, Missouri; brothers, Steve Wieland and his wife Mary Lou of Westside, Tom Wieland and his special friend Joyce Hindman of Carroll, and Pat Wieland and his wife Kate of Denver, Colorado; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arlo and Traci Klocke of Granger, Mary Jane Klocke and her special friend Jim Oldham of Arlington, Virginia, Sandy DiIulio and her husband Christopher of Des Moines, Joyce Hinners and her husband Daryl of Carroll, David Klocke and his wife Karen of Templeton, and Marci Huberty of Bloomington, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wieland, in infancy; a brother-in-law, David Imming; and father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Marcella Klocke.
