Judy Testroet

Judy Testroet, 81 of Carroll, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 16, 2025 at her home in Carroll. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Holy Spirit Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Kathy Halbur. Gift Bearers will be David Testroet, Mary Quiroz, and Joe Testroet. Casket Bearers will be David Testroet, Joe Testroet, Larry Quiroz, Drew Leavitt, Doug Little, and Steve Olberding. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with a rosary at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 12-12:45 p.m. on Thursday at Holy Spirit Church prior to the Funeral Mass. Judith “Judy” Ann Testroet, daughter of Jelste and Marie (Feld) Sapp was born September 10, 1943 in Carroll, Iowa. She attended St. Angela’s Academy and Graduated from Kuemper High School in 1961. On September 28, 1963, married Paul John Testroet at St. Joseph’s church in Carroll. Together they had three children: David, Mary, and Joseph. She babysat children for many years, before joining Farner Bocken where she worked for several decades. At the time of her death, she was working at Hy-Vee greeting customers. She volunteered her time at St. Anthony’s Hospital and Holy Spirit Catholic church. She was faithful in her prayer group. She worked tirelessly with her hands, sewing, crafting, quilting. She enjoyed her plants as well. Her heart was filled with joy loving her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Testroet; her grandson, Eric Testroet; her siblings (Ruth (Merle), Robert (Dorothy), Richard (Judy) Janet, Raymond (Dorris), Linda (Jerry) and her parents Jelste and Marie Sapp. She is survived by her children, David (Cindy) Testroet of Madrid, IA; Mary (Larry) Quiroz of Omaha, NE; and Joe (Allison) of Polk City, IA. Grandchildren, Amber Testroet of Ames, IA, Nikki Testroet of Ames, IA, and Gabi (Drew) Leavitt of Omaha, NE. Great grandchildren, Kianna, Oceana, Petra and Rudy. Her Sister Mary (Glen has passed) Steimer Omaha, NE.
