Joleen Heisterkamp, 58 of Carroll, died Wednesday, April 05, 2017 at Hawkeye Care Center in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Craig Collison. Music will be by Marcy Anderson, Michele Phillips and the St. Lawrence Choir. Lector for the funeral mass will be Amy Overmohle. Gift Bearers will be Rick and Margene Heisterkamp. Eucharistic Minister will be Shirley Molitor. Casket Bearers will be: Curt Heisterkamp, Chad Kanne, Amy Overmohle, Beth Schechinger, Dustin Heisterkamp, and Ashley Blackburn. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation will be held at St. Lawrence Church one hour prior to the funeral mass.

Born on April 29, 1958 at Carroll, Iowa, Joleen was the daughter of Lyle and Bernice (Freese) Heisterkamp. Joleen spent her entire lifetime in the Carroll community and in 1978 became a resident at New Hope Village in Carroll. She enjoyed watching television and the many activities at New Hope Village. She loved spending time with her family as well as her New Hope Village family. In October of 2016, Joleen became a resident at Hawkeye Care Center in Carroll. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish in Carroll.
Survivors include her mother, Bernice Heisterkamp of Carroll; her siblings: Richard (Margene) Heisterkamp of Carroll, Deb (Neil) Kanne of Carroll, Dean Heisterkamp and fiancé Kerry Schoessler of Westside, Janice (Robert) Wollesen of Edina, MN, and Douglas Heisterkamp and friend Benita Price of Odesa, TX; 13 nieces and nephews; as well as several great nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
Joleen was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Heisterkamp; her grandparents: Harvey and Emma Freese, and Joe and Rose Heisterkamp; her brother, Dale Heisterkamp; and her nephew, Ryan Kanne.
