Jean Heim, age 94, of Carroll, died Sunday, February 25, 2018, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. The celebrant will be Fr. Brian Feller. Music will be by Kate Cuddy and the St. Lawrence Choir. Lector will be Shirley Molitor. Gift Bearers will be Jean’s Granddaughters. Eucharistic Minister will be Don Wiederhold. Casket Bearers will be Ed Heim, Joe Heim, Dave Ricke, Steve Ricke, Jim Nelson, and Don Wiederhold. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at St. Mary’s Cemetery near Auburn, Iowa.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 5 p.m. on Friday, where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 6:30 p.m.
The casket will be moved to St. Lawrence Church on Saturday morning, where visitation will resume at 9:30 a.m., and continue until the time of the funeral mass.

Born on January 10, 1924 at Lake City, Iowa; Jean was the daughter of Orley and Ruth (Snavely) Iler. She grew up near Lake City, attended country school, later graduating from Lake City High School. After her formal education Jean worked at McVay Hospital in Lake City.
On May 25, 1945, Jean was united in marriage to Raymond Heim at Corpus Christi, Texas, to this union six children were born. Jean took pride in raising her family, serving as the pillar of the family while her husband Ray, served in the United States Navy.
Jean enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, poker, trips to the casino, and socializing with her many friends. She will be remembered for her great cooking. She also enjoyed volunteering at St. Anthony Hospital, and the Carroll area R.S.V.P. Jean was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish and Ladies Guild, and had an extremely deep faith.
Survivors include her children: John (Sue) Heim of Jacksonville, OR, Tom (Lavenia) Heim of San Jose, CA, Mike (Holly) Heim of Carroll, Dan Heim of Carroll, and Jane (Todd) Roberts of Breda; 12 granddaughters: Cathy Heim of Jacksonville, OR, Heather (Mark) Cwynar of Glendale, AZ, Lisa Heim of Oakton, VA, Misty (Joe) Capps of Fremont, CA, Michelle Corallo of California, Kendall Heim of San Diego, CA, Eden Heim of Aspinwall, Rae Heim of Carlsbad, CA, Delaney Heim of Carroll, Sarah Roberts of Breda, Natalie Roberts of Breda, and Erin Roberts of Breda; one grandson: Ben Heim of Medford, OR; four great-grandchildren: Camille and Kyle Cwynar of Glendale, AZ, Savannah Corallo of California, and Brendan Heim of Oakton, VA; a brother: Bob (Rose Marie) Iler of Carroll; sisters-in-law: Esther Heim of Auburn, Lola Heim of Sioux Falls, SD, and Sandra Heim of Early; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray on February 16, 2013; a son: Robert in 2010; her siblings: Max (Irma) Iler, and Bonnie (Augie) Ricke; her brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law: Bernice (Slats) Fonder, Louise (Bob) Theulen, Evelyn (Louie) Wolterman, Leo (Juliana) Heim, Harold (Vi) Heim, Marvin Heim, Cletus Heim, and Paul Heim.
