Jason Killeen, age 21, of rural Westside, Iowa, died early Sunday, October 11, 2009, of injuries received in an auto accident north of Arcadia. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 16, 2009, at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. The Celebrant and Homilist will be Father Joe Dillinger. Con-celebrants will be Father Timothy Schott and Father Lawrence McCarty. Lector will be Justin Penner. Gift Bearers will be Sandra Forke and Madonna Ades. Mass Servers will be Austin Boeckman, Nick Klocke, and Mathu Meiners. Eucharistic Ministers will be Helen Reicks and Penny Miller. Casket Bearers will be Seth Renze, Ryan Greteman, Travis Hook, Steven Ricke, Rick Lawler, and Nick Kohorst. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 P.M. Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 4 P.M. Thursday. There will be a Christian wake service at 7 P.M. Thursday by the Parish. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or church for the Kuemper Catholic Schools Foundation. Jason Killeen was born on July 24, 1988, at Carroll, Iowa, the son of Patrick A. and Diana M. (Hofbauer) Killeen. He spent his lifetime in the Carroll community and attended St. Lawrence School and graduated from Kuemper High School in 2007. He attended Iowa Central Community College in Ft Dodge where he studied in the electrical and wind energy technology programs. He was currently employed by the Arcadia Meats Company in Arcadia. He was a member of St. John Parish at Arcadia and former member of St. Lawrence Parish in Carroll. Jason enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his dirt bike and four wheeler, watching football on television, and playing high school football. Survivors include his father, Patrick Killeen of Westside; a sister, Carrie Holst and her husband Joe of Lake City, his brothers, Ryan Killeen and his wife Angie of Carroll, Tony Killeen of Brooklyn, New York, and Michael Killeen of Ft. Collins, Colorado; his nephews, Jayden and Haven Holst; and aunts and uncles, Madonna and Bruce Ades of Westside, Mary and David Fitch of Anoka, Minn., Stella and Dick Weber of Glidden, Sandra and Lynn Forke of Carroll, Rosemary and Vic Sapp of Carroll, Sally and David Johnson of Des Moines, John and Sandy Hofbauer of Coon Rapids, and Robert Hofbauer of Coon Rapids. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diana Killeen, in September 1993; and his grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Hofbauer and Michael and Mildred Killeen.
