Born on October 14, 1985, at Carroll, Iowa, James was the son of Marvin and Dianne (Reiling) Danner. He grew up on the family farm, and attended the Carroll Community Schools. After his schooling he lived in Carroll, until moving to Council Bluffs in 2009. James actively, and proudly, participated in the Special Olympics. He enjoyed fishing, feeding the ducks, bowling, going for drives, camping, and farming with his father. Most of all James enjoyed spending time with his family, and his D.S.I. family.
Left to celebrate James’ life is his mother, Dianne Danner of Carroll, his siblings: Wendy (Jon) Kimbley of Des Moines, and Martin (Jamie) Danner of Glidden; four nieces, three nephews; his maternal grandmother: Iola Hoogestraat of Carroll; many aunts, uncles, and extended family, as well as Linda, Melissa, and all of his D.S.I. family in Council Bluffs.
James was preceded in death by his father Marvin; his paternal grandparents: William Sr., and Anna Danner; and his maternal grandfather John Hoogestraat.
