Kevin Luczycki, 58 of Templeton, died early Saturday morning, May 9, 2015, at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with Pastor Jeff Grote of Renew Covenant Church officiating. Casket Bearers will be Mark Trecker, Dale Schultes, Jim Bruggeman, Rick Hoffman, Brian Hathcock, Michael Kovalcik, Eric Trausch, Denis Roesel, and Dennis Luczycki. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton.
Visitation will be on Wednesday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll from 5-7 p.m. where there will be a time of prayer and sharing of memories at 7 p.m.
Visitation will resume at 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the funeral home.

Born on September 3, 1956 in Richmond, Virginia, John Kevin was the son of Edward and Alice (Kavanaugh) Luczycki. He grew up in various places of the United States. Kevin graduated from Joliet Central High School, in Joliet, Illinois. He then continued education at Joliet Junior College, also located in Joliet, Illinois. After completing school he lived and worked in Texas where his three daughters were born. Kevin then moved to Templeton, Iowa where he worked at Pella Corporation where he was a material analyst. On September 20, 2003 Kevin was united in marriage to Cindy Lou Wegner at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Ross, Iowa.
Kevin enjoyed cooking, grilling, gardening, Mexican food, mechanic work, and riding his Harley. Most of all Kevin enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends. Kevin was a member of the Renew Covenant Church in Carroll.
Left to celebrate Kevin’s life is his wife Cindy Luczycki of Templeton; his daughters: Kalie (fiancé Chris Schoessler) Luczycki of West Des Moines, Kelsey Luczycki, and Kegan Luczycki both of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; brothers: Joseph Luczycki, of Plano, Texas and Dennis (Liz) Luczycki of Dallas, Texas, his parents-in-law: Gary and Betty Wegner of Audubon; his sisters-in-law: Julie (Lynn) Zajicek of Panora, Sherrie (Dennis) Kinser of Omaha, Nebraska, Laurie Wegner of Woodland Park, Colorado, and Angela (Brandon) Arbogast of Omaha, Nebraska, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edward Luczycki, and his sister-in-law Nancy Luczycki.
