On my first visit to Carroll to see Helen, Bob and the kids, Bill and I wanted to take them to dinner. I called the Operator to get the phone number for the restaurant and the Operator said "What do you want that for"!! Imagine my surprise that it was Helen! What an awesome person, my sister-in-law! Another wonderful memory of Helen and Bob from Judy Quinn....when they visited Bill and me in L. A. before Bob passed away, we all went dancing in the L.A Bonaventure Hotel, where Bill was the Manager at the time. They looked mesmerized when dancing to the song "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree...that's a memory I enjoy every time I hear that song!

To the Family of Helen, I just read the beautiful obituary on Helen. Wow, she led a very full, rewarding, and meaningful life, that’s for sure. I am so glad that we had the good fortune of being neighbors when our family moved from the Netherlands to the United States. We fondly remember the many great moments we shared with this special lady. We are sorry for your loss and just hope the many happy memories you recall of Helen in the coming years, will bring a smile to your face. Hugs and Love, Erna
