Erma Osterholt, 92 of Carroll, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Regency Park Nursing Home in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Casket Bearers will be: Bob Danner, Gary Danner, Dave Danner, Arnold Wiskus, Dale Sporrer and Jerry Brincks. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral mass on Friday at Holy Spirit Church.

Erma was born on March 4, 1922 at Templeton, Iowa the daughter George and Mary (Irlmeier) Bierl. She spent her younger years in the Templeton area and graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1937.
On October 7, 1947, Erma was united in marriage to Engelbert “Bert” Osterholt at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Auburn with Rev. J.M. Mculiffie officiating. Bert and Erma made their home at Mt. Carmel and later moved to Dedham where Bert was engaged in farming.
Following the passing of her husband in 1988, Erma moved to the Carroll community where she had been currently living. Erma was a simple lady, enjoyed reading the newspaper daily and had a deep devotion to her faith.
Erma is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bert in January of 1988.
