Betty Wittrock, 94 of Carroll, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Regency Park Nursing Home in Jefferson, Iowa.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Craig Collison. Con-Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Schott. Music will be by Kate Cuddy and the St. Lawrence Choir with Sherry Loughran as cantor. Lectors for the funeral mass will be: Jill Wittrock and Angie Gage. Gift Bearers will be: Mary Wittrock, Jill Wittrock and Nicole Wittrock. Eucharistic Ministers will be: Bill Stammerman and Diane Hannasch. Casket Bearers will be: Brad Killeen, Tim Mueggenberg, Dennis Mueggenberg, Rick Mueggenberg, Jeff Mueggenberg, Craig Mueggenberg, and Eric Mueggenberg. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday at St. Lawrence Church and will continue until time of the funeral mass.

Born on March 28, 1922 at Roselle, Iowa, Elizabeth was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Haberl) Steffes. She spent her younger years in the Roselle area and attended Holy Angels School.
On September 2, 1941 she was united in marriage to Florian Wittrock Sr. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle. The couple lived in Templeton for a brief time and then made their home near Early where she was a homemaker while her husband was engaged in grain and livestock farming. Betty and Florian then returned to Carroll.
She enjoyed polka dances, baking, and loved to crochet. Betty also did various volunteer work and was involved with the RSVP group. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church in Carroll.
Betty is survived by her children: Linda Berg and her husband Dean of Arcadia, Louayne Mueggenberg and her husband Ken of Carroll, Pat Stammerman and her husband Bill of Dallas Center, and Florian Wittrock and his wife Diane of Carroll; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Florence Kokenge of Carroll, Bernice Irlmeier of Carroll and Coletta (Leo) Wernimont of Fonda; her brother, Lawrence Steffes of Carroll; and her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Dixie Steffes of New Hampton, and James (Jo) Wittrock of Manning; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, George and Bernadine Wittrock; her husband Florian Wittrock Sr., her daughter in infancy, Gloria Jean Wittrock; her son-in-law, Gene Killeen; her sisters: Hilda Schroeder, Lucille Galloway, and Irene Ertz; and her brother, Norbert Steffes.
