David Farrell, 59, of Carroll, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, due to complications related to heart disease.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Vail. The Celebrant will be Father Michael Cronin. Irene Feilmeier and St. Ann’s Choir will provide music. The Lectors are Abby Farrell and Kaitlyn Farrell. The Gift Bearers will be Madeline Farrell, Wesley Farrell and Violet Farrell. The Casket Bearers are Cody Farrell, Nicholas Farrell, Shawn Yost, Clifford Kinkade, Rod Becker and Ron Becker. Burial is in St. Ann’s Cemetery near Vail with Military Honors by the Arcadia American Legion.
A Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Additional visitation will be from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.

David was born on February 18, 1967, to David Dean Farrell and Judy (Farley) Farrell. He grew up in Vail, Iowa and graduated from Ar-We-Va High School in 1985.
On March 16, 1991, David was united in marriage to Rhonda Farrell and together they built a life centered around family.
David proudly served his country and spent much of his life working as a truck driver. He loved spending time with family and friends, taking his family to the lake, and cheering on his favorite team, the Iowa State Cyclones.
David is survived by his wife Rhonda Farrell; his five children: Nicholas (Kara), Cody (Payton), Abby (Cole), Madeline, and Kaitlyn; his two grandchildren, Wesley and Violet; and his five sisters and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Dean Farrell and Judy Farrell; his aunt, Janice; and his uncle, Ken.
