Carol Roetker, 56 of Carroll, died Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll from injuries received in an automobile accident north of Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir with John Wagner as soloist. Lectors for the funeral mass will be Rose Miller and Dr. Alan Roetker. Gift Bearers will be: Addy Roetker, Henry Roetker, and Cohen Dentlinger. Eucharistic Ministers will be: Judy Stricker, Mary Schon and Bev Tierney. Casket Bearers will be: Pat Greving, Steve Merical, Ryan Roetker, Matt Merical, Curt Dentlinger, and Nick Marsh. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4 p.m. on Friday, where there will be a Rosary prayed at 5 p.m., and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m.
The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church on Saturday morning where visitation will resume at 9 a.m. until time of the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Christ Renews His Parish (CHRP-Carroll Catholic Community) or Domus Trinitatis Retreat Center.

Born on April 13, 1960 at Carroll, Iowa, Carol was the daughter of Clair and Joan (Hamers) Roetker. Carol attended Holy Spirit School and later graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School with the Class of 1978. She furthered her education at DMACC in Carroll. For most of her working career she was employed at Pella Corporation.
Carol enjoyed swimming and was an avid Iowa State Cyclones fan; a season ticket holder to several of the men’s and women’s sports. She was an active member of Holy Spirit Parish in various capacities and was also involved with Christ Renews His Parish prayer group. Carol’s greatest love was socializing and spending time with her friends, and her family; especially her nieces, nephews, and great nephew and nieces.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Dr. Alan (Linda) Roetker of Fond du Lac, WI, Joe (Deb) Roetker of Ankeny, Tim (Connie) Roetker of Fairfield, OH, Bob (Anna) Roetker of Cincinnati, OH, Sue (Steve) Merical of Sycamore, IL, and Jan (Pat) Greving of Elk Horn; her nieces and nephews: Nick (Liz) Roetker, Patrick Roetker, Jacque (Curt) Dentlinger, Trisha (Nick) Marsh, Leah Roetker, Becky Roetker, Ryan Roetker, Addy Roetker, Henry Roetker, Haley Merical, Matt Merical, Emily Greving and Grace Greving; her great-nephew, Cohen Dentlinger; and her great-nieces, Makayla and Marissa Dentlinger.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clair and Joan Roetker and her brother in infancy, Walter Roetker.
