Bryce Jacob Bohac, the 7 month old son of Kevin and Christy Bohac of Carroll, died Friday evening, February 6, 2009, at his residence of complications of Werdnig-Hoffman Disease. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M., Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Father Timothy Schott, assisted by Deacon Monty R. Montagne. Homilist will be Deacon Monty R. Montagne. Lector will be an aunt, Kristie Bohac. Gift Bearers will be his god parents, Mark and Kristi Ballard. Eucharistic Ministers will be Joan Thompson and Kathy Montagne. Casket Bearers will be uncles, Kurt Ballard, Dan Ballard, Mark Ballard, and Greg Bohac. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 5 P.M. Monday. There will be a Christian wake service at 7 P.M. Monday by St. Lawrence Parish. Bryce Jacob Bohac was born on June 15, 2008, at Carroll, Iowa, the son of Kevin F. and Christy A. (Ballard) Bohac. He was baptized into the Catholic faith on July 5, 2008, at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll by Father Timothy Schott. Bryce was a happy baby and enjoyed watching his brothers, watching Baby Einstein, his binkie, being held by his mother, and looking into his daddy’s eyes. Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Christy Bohac of Carroll; two brothers, Brandon John Bohac and Tyler James Bohac at home; grandparents, Ron and Jean Ballard of Carroll, and Frank Bohac of Waverly, Nebr.; great grandmother, Iva Montagne of Wood River, Illinois; his uncles and aunts, Dan and Amy Ballard of Sioux City, Mark and Kristi Ballard of Olathe, Kansas, Kurt and Brenda Ballard of Urbandale, Daryl and Kristie Bohac of Waverly, Nebr., and Greg and Cassidy Bohac of Lincoln, Nebr.; and by fourteen cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Mae Bohac.
