Bonnie Jean Lynam, age 76, of Clarkston, Michigan, and formerly of Carroll, Iowa, died Monday April 20, 2009, at Doctors Hospital of Michigan in Pontiac. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Father Timothy Johnson. The casket will be taken to the church at 8 A.M. Saturday to lie in state until the time of the funeral mass. Lector will be Barb Broich. Gift Bearers will be a daughter and her husband, Lori and John Golden. Casket Bearers will be Rick Broich, Doug Broich, Ron Broich, Joe Broich, Jim Goecke, Conner Lynam, and Ryan Lynam. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 P.M. Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 4 P.M. Friday. There will be a Christian wake service at 7 P.M. Friday. Mrs. Lynam was born on December 13, 1932, at Ashton, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Eilers) Goecke. When she was a child her family moved to the Maple River community and she attended St. Francis School in Maple River. On May 12, 1956, she was married to Clifton Lynam at St. Mary Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Lynam was in the military so the family lived in various communities, most notably in Papillion, Nebraska, until 1984 when the family moved to Clarkston. Survivors include her children, Mark Lynam and his wife Cathy of Brentwood, Tenn., Lee Lynam and his wife Tish of Carlsbad, Calif., Clifton Lynam Jr. and his wife Heidi of Omaha, Nebr., and Lori Golden and her husband John of Clarkston, Michigan; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Broich and her husband Jerry of Carroll, and Mary Gute of Eugene, Oregon; two brothers, Melvin Goecke of Carroll, and Floyd Goecke and his wife Janie of Omaha, Nebraska; and a sister-in-law, Norma Goecke of Carroll. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifton Lynam, in 2002; brothers, Jerome Goecke and Kenneth Goecke, in infancy; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Goecke and Ann Goecke.
