Beth Klocke, 85 of Carroll, and formerly of Dedham, died Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Swan Place in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Brian Feller. Music will be by Kate Cuddy, Kathleen Macke, and the St. Lawrence Choir. Mass servers will be: Emma Schaefer, Max Lampe and Ben Lampe. Lectors for the funeral mass will be: Tammie Klocke, Kelley Johnson, and Lisa Lampe. Gift Bearers will be: Philip Klocke, Laura Klocke, Kim Broekemeier, and Danielle Klocke. Eucharistic Ministers will be: Rachel Eischeid, Diane Sturm and Jeff Fitzsimmons.
Casket Bearers will be: Spencer Klocke, Corey Schaefer, Nick Klocke, Tony Klocke, Angie Klocke, and Kristen Bircher. Burial will be at 1 p.m., Thursday at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Dedham.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 5 p.m. on Wednesday where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 p.m.
The casket will be moved to St. Lawrence Church on Thursday morning where visitation will resume at 9:30 a.m. and will continue until time of the funeral mass.

Born on November 17, 1931 in Carroll County, Iowa, Bethene was the daughter of Lawrence and Florence (Goecke) Wolterman. She attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton and graduated with the Class of 1949. On June 6, 1950, Beth was united in marriage to Lawrence Klocke at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton. The couple made their home southwest of Dedham where they raised livestock and grain. Beth was instrumental in their farm operation and also raised their four children. Beth and Lawrence farmed until 2003 when they moved to the Carroll community.
She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and her trips to the casino. Beth also took great interest in studying her family’s genealogy. She kept current on her grandchildren via Facebook and most of all loved spending time with her family, her children, and her grandchildren. Beth was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church in Dedham and was currently a member of St. Lawrence Church in Carroll.
Beth is survived by her husband Lawrence Klocke of Carroll; her children: Duane Klocke and friend Joni Venteicher of Coon Rapids, Jane Schaefer and her husband Gary of Carroll, Keith Klocke and his wife Karen of Villisca, and Dean Klocke and his wife Monica of Halbur; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Lou Ann (Clair) Otto of Carroll, Harlan (Janice) Wolterman of Nebraska, Maxine Gingery of Minnesota, Wanita (Ron) Rolfes of Minnesota, and Linda Klocke of Marion; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bill Eskens of Missouri, Alvin (Louanna) Klocke of Minnesota, Joan Hoffmeier of Council Bluffs, Betty LaVan of Minnesota, Diane (George) Sonderman of Defiance, and Larry Goecke of Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter-in-law, Diane Klocke; her grandson-in-law, Joseph Lampe; and her sister, Pat Eskens.
