Arlene Rose Anderson, 93, formerly of Carroll and Lake City, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Madrid Home in Madrid, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, where visitation will be held after 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the funeral. Officiating will be Peg Scheidt. Casket Bearers will be Kyle Barkmeier, Brandon Morfeld, Carter Morfeld, Matt Downey, Brian Johnson, and Anthony Fontanini. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.

Arlene was born on February 7, 1933, in Carroll, Iowa to Ed and Rose (Otjen) Winn. She married Delbert Anderson on December 24,1948, in Lake City, Iowa, where they raised 3 daughters.
Arlene worked for GE for 20 years and later at the Hy-Vee Floral Shop in Carroll. She loved to let everyone know that she worked until she was 80. Arlene was a very social and fun-loving person, and seemed to excel at everything she did, including cooking, sewing, bowling, golf and playing cards.
Survivors include daughters Charyl (Wes) Winterink of Ames, Iowa: Charlene (Larry) Chorn of Denver, Colorado; Charlotte (Jim) Harper of The Villages, Florida; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters Gloria Ries and Georgia Schmickle; sisters-in-law Delores Winn and Phyllis Winn; and good friend Kathreen Demaio.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Delbert; sisters: Geraldine Whited, Corrine Gute, Mary Cota, and Lois Winn (infant); brothers: Donald Winn, Marion Winn, Glen Winn, and Jim Winn; and nieces Marcella Short and Christine Lerch.
