Albert “Bert” Brincks, 95 of Carroll, died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Accura Healthcare of Carroll.
A private family Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Officiating will be Fr. Timothy Schott. Casket Bearers will be Scott Brincks, Keith Brincks, Kevin Brincks, Jedd Brincks, Traeton Brincks, and Caeson Brincks. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Albert was born on September 10, 1925 near Willey, Iowa the son of Joseph and Katherine (Hoffman) Brincks and attended St. Mary’s School. On November 23, 1949 Bert was united in marriage to Teresa Schelle at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Breda. The couple farmed east of Templeton for 10 years and in 1960 moved to a farm northeast of Carroll where they raised their family. In 1988 they moved to Carroll where Bert was currently residing. Due to failing health, Bert became a resident of Accura Healthcare in Carroll in June of 2020. Bert was a member of St. John Paul II Parish – St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. He loved his family, friends, and farming. Bert enjoyed driving the countryside, checking the crops, and socializing with neighbors.
Bert is survived by his son Alan Brincks and his wife Bev of Carroll; his grandsons: Scott (Launa) Brincks of Des Moines, Keith (Jina) of Carroll, and Kevin Brincks of Carroll; his great-grandchildren: Kyra, Ella, Jedd, Jada, Traeton, Caeson, and Benton; his sister, Louise (Jack) Clark of Everly; his brothers: Ray (Ruth) Brincks of Carroll, Larry (Lynn) Brincks of Carroll, Marvin (Gloria) Brincks of Alta Vista and Dennis (Cindy) Brincks of Duluth, GA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Bert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Teresa; his children, Arlene, Harvey, and Duane; his brother Clete Brincks; his sisters: Helen Tiefenthaler, Bonnie Anthofer, Juilette Behrens, Kate Broich, and Elsie Eischeid.
