Agnes “Aggie” Haverman, 83, formerly of Carroll, died November 28, 2025 in North Charleston, South Carolina. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2026 at St. Lawrence Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Schott. Music will be by Kathy Halbur and Sherry Loughran. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Jeff Havermann. Gift Bearers will be Josh Washington, Tyler Washington, Dylan Washington, and Danielle Havermann. The Antonian School of Practical Nursing Alumni and The Carroll County Nurses Association will form an honor guard for the Funeral Mass. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. There will be no visitation prior to the Funeral Mass. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Aggie’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com. A Celebration of Life for Aggie will continue at 1730 Taphouse in the Oakland Room, (Carrollton) from 4-7 p.m. on Monday afternoon. Everyone is welcome to join us there to share stories & good times had with Aggie over the years. Aggie’s family is requesting that people wear appropriate summer attire to the funeral in honor of Aggie & Arnie's love of the sun & warm weather. Agnes Margaret (Aggie) Elbert Havermann was born October 14, 1942, at Whittemore, Iowa the daughter of Elmer P. & Agnes Margaret (McGovern) Elbert. Aggie attended & graduated from Cylinder Grade School & High School, Cylinder, Iowa and then graduated from Antonian School of Nursing in Carroll, Iowa. Aggie married Arnold J. Havermann on June 8th 1963, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whittemore, Iowa. She worked at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, then at the Carroll Health Center (Hawkeye Care Center & Accura Health Care of Carroll) in Carroll. Aggie is survived by her husband Arnold; 3 Children: David (Shelley) Havermann of Chandler, AZ, Julie Havermann Washington of Goose Creek, SC & Jeffrey (Sandy) of Aiken SC. 7 Grandchildren: Charissa Washington Hampton, Joshua Washington, Tyler Havermann, Dylan Havermann, Danielle Havermann, Haley Havermann & Ryker Havermann. 4 Great Grandchildren: Jaxon Washington, Axel Washington, Yara Hampton & Amara Hampton Her siblings: Majorie Forey, Ruth Poeppe, Elmer (Stev e) J. Elbert Jr & Richard Elbert. In-Laws: Eugene & Judy Havermann, Louis & Pat Havermann, Dee Harrington-Hartwell and Jim & Liz Havermann. Preceded in Death by Elmer & Agnes Elbert, Lavonne Elbert, Jerome Forey, Beverly & Robert Forsythe, Darold Elbert, Ken Poeppe and Eleanor Jean & Richard Johnson.
