Ruth Ann Brincks, 89 of Carroll, died Tuesday morning, March 29, 2022, at her home in Carroll surrounded by her family. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church - St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Schott. Concelebrants will be Fr. Steven Brodersen and Fr. Merlin Schrad. Music will be by pianist Marcy Anderson and cantors Jake Gute and Sherry Loughran. Lectors will be Ruth’s granddaughters Heather Keenan & Lindsey Dadourian. Gift bearers will be Ruth’s great granddaughters Kyndall Keenan, Emerson Presley, Meredith Keenan & Harper Brincks. Casket Bearers will be Ruth’s grandchildren Heather Keenan, John Brincks, Brad Presley, Lance Presley, Sarah Claiborne, Matt Brincks, Austin Shelp, Lindsey Dadourian, Bryce Brincks and Bret Brincks. The Carroll Catholic Daughters of the Americas and St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary will form an honor guard for the Funeral Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Visitation begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with at Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be on Friday at St. Lawrence Church from 10-10:45 a.m. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home of Carroll and online condolences may be left for Ruth’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kindred Hospice of Carroll in Ruth’s memory. Ruth, the daughter of Albert & Frances (Truhe) Eischeid, was born on June 30th, 1932, near Roselle, IA. She was a graduate of Holy Angels Catholic School in Roselle. On January 31, 1951, Ruth was united in marriage to her husband of 70 years to Raymond Brincks at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Roselle. Ruth & Ray had been a farming couple since 1952 in Audubon and Calhoun counties. Together, they owned and operated an agricultural supply business in Auburn, IA. After retiring, Ruth & Ray enjoyed many winters in Mesa, Arizona. Ruth was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Church in Auburn and later St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the St. Anthony’s Hospital Auxiliary. When Ruth wasn’t working beside her husband, she enjoyed many volunteer activities including: Girl Scout & Cub Scout leader in Auburn, church decorating in Auburn, Meals on Wheels, RSVP, church rug making, and flower arranging for the hospital auxiliary. Ruth’s favorite hobbies included crocheting, crafting ceramics, playing dominos, and attending her children’s ball games. Ruth was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family & her sisters. Ruth is survived by her children, Yvonne Presley of Carroll, Wayne (Mary) Brincks of Glidden, Doug (Carlene) Brincks of Lake City, Bart (Sue) Brincks of Riceville, and Darlis (Jim) Brincks Jensen of Lake View; ten grandchildren and their spouses, and eleven great grandchildren , plus one on the way; her siblings, Cliff (Jean) Eischeid, Verena (Roman) Wittrock, Lenora (Vincent) Gross, Janice Neppl, Alberta Meiners, and Therese (Dale) Schlichte; brothers-in-law, Duane Bueltel, Larry (Lynne) Brincks, Marvin (Gloria) Brincks, and Dennis (Cindy) Brincks; sister-in-law, Louise (Jack) Clark as well as many nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, on December 9, 2021; her parents; Ray’s parents, Joseph and Katherine (Hoffman) Brincks; siblings, Delores ( Walt) Nees, Marion ( Melvin) Bauer, Marvin and Elsie Eischeid, Velma Bueltel; sisters-in-law, Julitta (Joe) Behrens, Helen (Ervil) Tiefenthaler, Bonnie (Ed) Anthofer, Katherine (Hank) Broich; brothers-in-law, Duane Neppl, Wilfred Meiners, Albert (Theresa) Brincks and Cletus Brincks.
