Ronald Hahn

April 2, 1949 - February 3, 2021

Ronald Hahn, 71 of Roselle, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at St. John Paul II Parish - Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Schott. Music will be by Jane Heithoff. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery in Roselle. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. There will be no visitation prior to the Funeral Mass on Tuesday. Those in attendance are required to wear a face covering and abide by social distancing guidelines. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Online condolences may be left for Ron's family at www.sharpfuneral.com. Ron was born on April 2, 1949 at Carroll, Iowa, the son of Lawrence and Melvina (Brincks) Hahn. Ron attended Holy Angels School (Roselle) and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School in 1967. Ron was a member of Holy Angels Parish and a lifetime resident of the Roselle area. Ron worked for Snyder Tree Service after graduation, then Bob's Circle Steel for several years and retired from Renze Hybrids after many years. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing, highlighted by a successful bear hunt in Alaska. He became an avid gun collector in his later years. Ron was also a member of the Roselle Trio Tavern slow pitch team which made 2 trips to the state tournament. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with his nephews and nieces. Ron enjoyed cooking and grilling for family events, of course that involved a few adult beverages. He also enjoyed gambling at casinos and socializing with friends at the 4R's Bar in Roselle. Ron is survived by brothers; Daryl (Lisha) Hahn of Carroll, Nebraska, Dan Hahn of Roselle, Steve Hahn of Roselle, sisters; Pat Lindsay of Carroll, and Lori (Bob) Wells of Dubuque; many nieces and nephews, as well as other extended relatives and many friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Melvina, brother Roger, sister Margene, brother-in-law Dale Lindsay and nephew Brady Hahn.
