Linda Billmeier, 71 of Carroll, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll surrounded by her family. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton. The Celebrant will be Fr. Shinoj Jose. Con-Celebrant and homilist will be Fr. Steve Brodersen. Mass servers will be Peter and Joseph Dea. Music will be by Hannah Warner and the Sacred Heart Men’s Choir. Lectors for the funeral mass will be Bridget Hunt and Samantha Granatell. Linda’s grandsons, Nicholas Billmeier, Dawson Billmeier, Nolan Nepple and Porter Nepple will present the offertory gifts. Eucharistic Minister will be Alice Simons. Casket Bearers will be: Joe Blum, David Blum, Drew Hunt, Doug Irlmeier, Chad Irlmeier, and Jim Irlmeier. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4 p.m. on Friday where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. The casket will be moved to Sacred Heart Church in Templeton on Saturday morning where visitation will resume at 9 a.m. and will continue until time of the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left at the funeral home or the church for the Animal Rescue League in Carroll. Following the interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton, please join Linda’s family for a luncheon and refreshments at the Carroll Country Club. Born on February 12, 1947 at Manning, Iowa, Linda Louise was the daughter of Stoggie and Mep (Kasperbauer) Irlmeier. Linda attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton and later graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School with the Class of 1965. On October 9, 1965, she was united in marriage to Raymond Billmeier at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton. Ray and Linda made their home in Carroll where she taught pre-school for several years. Linda later owned and operated the Gift Gallery and also held various retail positions; most recently at Special Moments. Linda thoroughly enjoyed people; especially Thursday nights at the Carroll Country Club and Friday nights with her friends. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Suduko, and playing with her cat, Kit-Kat. Linda’s greatest joy was her family; she cherished the time she spent with all of them and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in their activities. Linda was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Carroll and formerly a member of Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. Linda is survived by her children: Brian Billmeier and his wife Niki of Carroll and Stacey Nepple and her husband John of Carroll; her grandsons: Nicholas Billmeier, Dawson Billmeier, Nolan Nepple and Porter Nepple, all at home; her siblings: Bonnie Hein of Carroll and Duane (Pauline) Irlmeier of Templeton; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lou (Terri) Billmeier of Carroll, Darlene Middleton of Templeton and Dorothy Bendixen of Carroll; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and many friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Stoggie and Mep Irlmeier; her husband Ray in June of 2015; her parents-in-law, Otto and Frances Billmeier; her brothers-in-law, Jerry Hein and Lloyd Middleton; her niece, Sheila Schoeppner; and her special grandmother, Alvina “MA” Kasperbauer.
