Geneva Brincks

Geneva Brincks, age 80, of Templeton, died on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held after 5 p.m. on Friday, Jun 26, 2026, at The Still in Templeton. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Templeton. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Geneva’s family at www.sharpfuneral.com. Geneva, daughter of Don and Alma (Steffes) Fuchs, was born on October 15, 1945, in the family home in Templeton, Iowa. She grew up in Templeton where she attended Sacred Heart Grade School, before going to Kuemper and graduating with the class of 1963. After attending the American Academy of Beauty in Des Moines, she opened her beauty shop in the family home in 1964. On August 12, 1967, Geneva was united in marriage with George Louis Brincks at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton with Msgr. Behrens officiating. The couple had three children and made their home in Templeton. Geneva closed the beauty shop in 1974 to raise her family and help with the family trucking business. Geneva was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and the Guild. She enjoyed bowling and socializing at the local bar where she helped out Ann Walsh and Glenda Irlbeck bartend back in the day. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time at West Oaks in Okoboji. Geneva is survived by three children: Sandi Brincks of Templeton; Stan (Devan) Brincks of Templeton; and Suzi Brincks with New Hope in Carroll; three grandchildren: Gracie Brincks, Gabrielle Brincks and Gavin Brincks; a sister Joann (Rich) Kotan of Omaha, NE; sisters-in-law: Sheryl (Dale) Gust, Alice Miskimins, Eileen Sander, Joan (Paul) Bernholtz, Lavonne (Gary) Dugan, Doris (Mike ) Piriak, Bev Fuchs; a brother-in-law Jerry (Deb) Brincks; and by their longtime secretary Cindy (Matt) Bauer. She was preceded in death by her parents Don and Alma Fuchs; her husband George Brincks; George’s parents Louis and Marcella (Schultes) Brincks; brothers: Leon Fuchs and Lauren Fuchs; brothers-in-law: Glenn Miskimins, Denis Sander, Don Brincks and Jim Brincks; and a nephew Jeffrey Fuchs.
