I was blessed for 5 years to be a part of Maries life while she was at St Anthonys, and many “adventures” we shared in those 5 years. I called her Friend, she for some reason decided one day to call me Ella and Ella I was for 4 1/2 more years…Marie had quite the imagination, and it was easier for those of us who got to share our days with her to live in her world, and the “adventures” she took us on were not only educational but full of fun, smiles, and yes once in a while even a wrong turn would be taken. I never knew where Marie was going to take me, one day we could be shopping while the next we could be washing clothes. My most memorable “adventure” Marie took me on was the day I came to work and she immediately asked me “What did you do to the car?”…to my amazement Marie had decided that the days adventure would involve me stealing the car, wrecking it, and then parking it backwards in the garage so she wouldn’t notice…silly me I should have known better. She had me working the entire shift that day to pay for the cost of repairs, and she reminded me of that “adventure” for weeks.

Many Laughs were shared around our dining room table as Marie would always find the perfect moment to chime in on a conversatioin others were having and she made sure that her words were heard. And if she thought we were wrong she quickly corrected us.

I am going to miss these “adventures” but I will miss even more hearing “Ella! Ella!”…

Marie, this “adventure” now is yours to travel

Rest in Peace and thoughts and prayers to your Family

Stasia……. or as you called me Ella
