met Garbear in 1979, working at Farmland and over the next few years we became the best of friends, while never officially roommates we both awoke at each other’s houses on many occasions. Gary was usually curled up in a ball asleep on my small love seat, with an 8-foot-long couch wide open on the other side of the room. We were in each other’s weddings, although I don’t remember too much of Gary and Patty’s (damn that Wild Turkey). Over the years I moved away, and our lives drifted apart, but our friendship never did, and even if it was a few years in between visits, the conversation started right back up like it was yesterday. I will miss you and cherish the memories we made
